Chile Red Stags

Since 1994 we have been offering Red Deer hunts in the Country of Chile. Chile offers what is possibly the world's greatest opportunity to hunt for a free-roaming, record book Red Stag. In the last 8 years, our hunters have enjoyed 100 % success, and have placed many huge stags in the top tier of SCI record books.

There is nothing more exhilarating than to hear these monster stags roaring during the rut, at close range in the early morning mist.

The hunting area consists of various private ranches that have joined together in a strict game management program, spanning over 50 years, to produce these trophy red stags. No high game fencing or unnatural substances are used, only select genetics, exceptional natural feed, and habitat.

All hunts are 1 guide per hunter. Hunting is done by stalking or high house (tree house). The terrain consists of soft rolling hills, with heavy dark timber, and open field or meadows, making it easy for walking.

We normally harvest between 10-15 mature stags each season, from 3 different hunting areas. So the hunting for these impressive animals is very limited. The age of the stags taken are 9 1/2 years and older. 

SEASON: Hunts are conducted during the rut, or breeding season, which starts March 10 and ends around April 5.

TRANSPORTATION: Arrive into Santiago, Chile, then you will travel on to Puerto Montt, where you will be met by your English speaking outfitter. It is another one hour drive to the ranch.

ACCOMMODATIONS: Vary from a newly built cabin, to a ranch house or inn. 

CONDITIONS: Rates for trophy fees are based on the C.I.C. or European scoring system.
It is our suggestion that you consult with your guide for the size of trophy and the budget you may have in mind, before the hunt starts. This way, there are no misunderstandings later.
It is up to your guide to decide which stag you may take, and to the hunters' advantage. If you harvest a lesser point stag than what was agreed, you pay the lesser fee. On the other hand, if your guide allows you to harvest a greater scoring stag, you only pay for the agreed fee.

Daily rates: $350 per day, per hunter, minimum of 4 days.

Deposit: $1,550 deposit required to book a hunt date, on a first come, first served basis. 
*This Deposit will cover that cost of hunt of 4 hunting days plus hunting licenses. Trophy Fees will be paid at the end of your hunt. * Deposits are non-refundable but may be passed on to another hunter, or used for the following year, only.
