Goose Hunt FAQ's

Q - Where do we fly for the Goose hunt?
A - You will have to fly to Bahia Blanca where the outfitter will greet you.

Q - How far from the airport is the lodge?
A - About 1 1/2 hour

Q - Is there a limit on Geese?
A - No, but normally 15-25 per person per shoot is the norm and sometimes more.

Q - When is the season and the best time to hunt Geese?
A - From May 1st through August 30th with peak times from the first week in June to the first week in August

Q - Will I need waders to hunt Geese?
A - No but you should bring them if you plan to hunt ducks in the afternoon.

Q - What about the weather?
A - It can get cold in June or July, sometimes in the 30's, but 50's and 60's is the norm

Q - Will we be hunting from blinds?
A - No your guide will dig a pit for you to lay down on a pad and lay out a spread of decoys.

Q – Can I combine other hunts with geese in Bahia Blanca?
A- Yes, the Bahia Blanca area offers some excellent Duck and Perdiz hunting as well. Geese are only hunted in the mornings, so the afternoons will be spent Duck hunting or Perdiz hunting over dogs.
